Bodega Peñafalcón · Ribera del Duero, Spain
Tinto de Autor 2004
Hand-harvested Tempranillo from high-altitude vineyard plots including Santacruz and Carraovejas. Long pre-fermentation maceration is followed by fermentation with native yeasts and malolactic fermentation in American oak. Thirty-six months in French and American oak build a deep cherry-red wine with mahogany hints, ripe fruit compote and complex spice. Savory, structured and persistent, with mature tannins and a fresh finish.
